As for the leisure part, the clients who came to the Thermal Spa Villa, can do lots and different activities in connection with nature. Nearby the Thermal Spa Hotel steps the “Via Nova”, the ancient Roman way that connected the two main towns at the time, Braga and Astorga. In that area one can walk by over several miles of that primitive way that have been recently recovered. The company Planalto does several sport and adventure activities and has the capacity to work with several groups at a time. Beginning with the Roman way “Via Nova”, the most important places of study are the Megalithic Park of Muiños, the “Centro de Interpretação da Rota Romana Via Nova” (Interpretation center of the Roman Way Via Nova) located at Portoquintela (Bande), where stands also the Roman Military Camp “Aquis Querquennis”. Also with quite an historic interest are the ancient churches of “Santa Comba” (visigotic) and of “Santa Maria de Entrimo”, which has an interesting Barroc front.
